A Heavily Abbreviated Departure From William Shakespeare’s The Tempest

This creation was made with 32 incredible dance artists of NWDP’s Summer Dance Intensive. We collectively explored motifs and symbolism within The Tempest including chess (war, power, manipulation), obedience, unleashing our creativity, world building, and the chaos of the great storm itself and how it related to our experiences as creators, movers, and artists. The effort and love these artists put into this short process redefined my purpose of being a choreographic artist and storyteller:
